6/2/26: Scrappy. Brooks played with his head up, constantly surveying the floor. He reminds a bit of young Gunnar Lewis (CPA ’25). Caudill is keen to include his teammates and provided sharp passes to the corners often. Limiting factor will likely be top-line speed. Quick with his feet, Brooks made a difference defending at the top of RHS’s zone. He reacted to ball movement pretty quickly. Caudill played scrappy and did quite well when RHS decided to extend into a 3/4-court press. He defended and irritated without fouling in that formation. When Brooks was able to push the tempo the Raptors played effectively. This might be more challenging during the district season in January-February, but this time Brooks was exceptional at getting out on the break.
