Peele continued to show why he is one of the more dependable guards in tournament settings with a strong showing at the Hub City Tournament. Peele averaged 13 points, 4 assists, 5 rebounds, and 2 steals per game, contributing in every phase of the game. He played with great pace, made smart decisions, and stayed active on the defensive end by jumping passing lanes and finishing possessions on the glass. Peele’s ability to rebound from the guard spot stood out, especially in physical games where effort mattered late. He consistently made winning plays that do not always show up as highlights but directly impact outcomes.

Corde Peele is one of the more intriguing backcourt threats heading into the season. He’s a tough downhill driver who embraces physicality and knows how to use his size to carve out advantages. Whether he’s bullying smaller defenders on the way to the rim or creating driving lanes off ball screens, he’s constantly applying pressure. The thing that separates Peele from your average slasher, though, is his versatility. He’s just as capable of knocking down shots or facilitating for teammates as he is of finishing plays himself. Once he gets going downhill, it’s a long night for whoever draws the assignment. Expect him to be the tone setter for Rio Grande’s offense.
