About Tucker

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am the textbook definition of a big, I like being up close and personal, close to the rim, and crashing the boards. Some coaches at my school compare me to the likes of Dennis Rodman.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a tough person, I push my teammates and myself to always do their best. I always try to support my teammates whether in game or not and I am favored by my coaches. I will play the whole game if it means getting the win, I’ll even sit out the game if it means my teammates and coaches can get us a win. One of my coaches even likes to call me “Beast mode”😂.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in accelerated classes at Ben Reifel middle school and will be taking high school classes next year in 8th grade. I also took Spanish 1 in 7th grade and plan on continuing in 8th. I won most likely to become an athlete in my class but that is technically a sports award.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have learnt lots of leadership and teamwork from my 7th grade season at Ben Reifel, we were all very close teammates and I would often break the team down, we all high fived and hugged after every game, and sometimes even buy each other snacks from the concession stands.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

If talking from a personal standpoint, when I was very young, my father passed away from a car crash, it was very hard for our family and it is still hard for me today. If talking from a basketball standpoint, then I would have to say my last game of 7th grade at Ben Reifel, we were down 1 and I had a clear shot then sunk it, putting us up one, winning the game.

What type of college are you looking for?

Honestly, I’m not to the point in my life where I am thinking about college, but, I think I would say why college that would let me play the thing I love, basketball.
