I had been hearing about the ridiculous shooting streak he had been on throughout the month of June, but seeing it with my own eyes left no doubt that he is definitely one of the best shooters in Alabama. Teams found it hard to defend him because of his constant movement, quick release, and the range at which he could let it fly. He is coming off a knee injury, but he did not look hampered at all. He was aggressive early, was looking for his offense, and flashed his athleticism when finishing at the rim and flying in for rebounds. He is playing with more confidence and poise, as he displayed a good PG IQ along with a really good PG skill set. His court awareness and vision are allowing him to see the floor better and make plays more quickly than I have seen from him in previous outings. He has a brilliant floor game and versatility that allows him to impact the game in all facets. He can play on and off the ball as well as handle scoring and facilitating duties. He is not going to overwhelm you with his athleticism, but his understanding of the game helps him to make plays on both ends of the floor. I have never seen him be as aggressive as he was, and I kept saying to myself, 'If he can do this on a consistent basis, Oxford is going to be hard to contend with.' He played with a focused intent, and it was clear that he was going to impact the game with his ability to knife his way to the rim, battle on the glass, defend across positions, and play with a motor. He does not make them a team with height, but for play in Alabama, it could be enough to help Minor punch their ticket to Birmingham, with all the other talent surrounding him. However, the truth of the matter is that he played exceptionally well on both ends of the floor. He was a physical guard who attacked with purpose, demonstrated his ability to score from deep, and did a great job running the show. I was impressed with his performances and his ability to shift between roles, handling primary ball-handling duties as mentioned, as well as spacing the floor and scoring off movement with and without the ball in his hands.
