When you look at the 2029 class, maybe no one has a higher ceiling than Stewart. Though having a great freshman year, watching him this summer, he looks like a new player. Proving he has continued to develop and progress into a star. His main progression has come from the perimeter. Last year Stewart played mostly in the post, given his 6’5 frame. At the Big Miller Team Camp, Stewart was bringing the ball up and attacking off the dribble much more. With his size, athleticism, and abilty to stretch the floor, he can play any position on the court at a high level.
Stewart was one of the most impressive players at the camp. Only going into his Sophomore year, Gus is already 6’5 with a skillset to play almost any position. When driving, he used his body, utilizing the euro-step on multiple occasions. He looks to attack, but shows an ability to hit the catch and shoot three. While projecting more as a guard/wing, he looked very comfortable in the paint as well. By the time he’s a Senior, Stewart could be the best player in the state.

delivered a performance that shows his readiness to impact varsity games. His scoring came from a mix of post touches, putbacks, and face‑up opportunities, while his rebounding presence controlled the glass and created extra possessions. His defensive skillset underscores his versatility as both a rim protector and an active presence in passing lanes. With his size, activity, and growing skill set, he profiles as a physical forward who can anchor the paint and expand into a reliable inside‑out threat.
Stewart blends frontcourt size with surprising mobility. His length allows him to contest shots and rebound outside his area, while his face-up game flashes suggest hybrid potential. With growth in his athleticism and reps, and refinement, Stewart could evolve more into a stretch-forward who defends multiple spots and spaces the floor.
With his frame, timing, and mobility, Stewart already looks the part of a varsity-level forward. He rebounds outside his area, blocks shots, and can finish through contact. Add in flashes of stretch forward abilities, and he projects as a physical presence who could grow into a matchup problem.
