16p 5r 3s 1b vs OLMC
-Eze was the only Saint in double figures at half and it was because of his off-ball movement to give him open jumpers and flashes to the rim for quick finishes before the defense could react. Thought that he did a good job of doing his work early on the glass, boxing out for position as soon as the shot went up to be in the right spot for his team. Defensively he was huge for the Saints-grinding on the back line with a deep OLMC frontcourt rotation to force several turnovers, jump passing lanes to collect steals, and collect shots without fouling. His motor has stood out in each viewing, and if he continues to work at his craft, he has some intriguing upside.

-Absolute workhorse for St. Mary’s in the paint as an undersized W/F tweener that takes on the toughest frontcourt assignment. Love his motor on the glass and how he’s improved as a help defender that is working to contest shots vertically to avoid foul trouble. His catch and finishes in tight gaps are super useful playing with guards that generate a ton of paint touches in the halfcourt.

14p 3r 1s 1b 4/8 FG 6/7 FT vs Ryken
-Came away impressed with Eze’s grit and toughness playing through illness to score in double figures for the Saints. Eze came up with some tough catches in traffic and finished well around the rim, hit his FTs, and was in position defensively to protect the rim while guarding up a position or 2 in the paint. His strength and positioning on the block forced a good amount of misses from his opponents, excited to see how he develops over the next two years.
