Nevada 2030 Prospects That Have Caught My Eye

Although these 2030's still have a year to go before they start high school, they are worth tracking. As they all have superb skill and high level athleticism.      I was able to watch McCarter play at the G365 High Desert Showdown a couple of weeks ago. The power forward is an intriguing prospect due to his impressive height, length, and overall athleticism. As a defender, he impacts the game by contesting shots and coming up with blocks. On the other end of the court, he can score inside by utilizing his footwork and touch. I also saw him throw down a dunk that had parents and coaches out of their seats. Keep an eye out for him the rest of the AAU season.     Jhamar Clark Jr. is one of the best 2030 offensive players that I have seen. He is a gifted passer that can thread the needle on cross court or throw ahead passes. He also dishes the ball off at the right time if defenders close in on him. Clark Jr. has a nose for the basket as well and uses his deceptive ball-handling skills to get downhill. When there isn't room to drive, Clark Jr. can get it done from the outside and he's capable of splashing in a pull-up jumper or 3. On defense, he plays with intensity and gathers steals.   He is playing for PFB and the Oakland Soldiers this summer.     Kayden Cuaresma is a young sniper that is capable of making both mid-range shots and 3-pointers. He knows how to get open off ball and is a very strong catch and shoot player. In addition to his scoring abilities, Cuaresma is a tough competitor that plays to win. If he can continue to hone his skills and get stronger, he should be able to become an even better playmaker. On offense, he is a threat from just about everywhere. As he can hit 3's, jumpers, and he's a skilled attacker. I also like the way he goes after offensive rebounds and he scores second chance points every so often. On the defensive end, Sommer is disruptive thanks to his length and quick reaction time. He is the type of player that can pick your pocket if you're not careful and he racks up deflections as well. If you're looking to catch him play this summer, he is running with Future Elite.     BJ Jolly is another guy that I became a fan of at the G365 High Desert Showdown. He gets out in transition and can make tough finishes through contact. He also has a pure shooting stroke and knocks down long range shots regularly. On the defensive end, Jolly keeps his man in front of him and he can protect the rim. Expect him to continue to make a name for himself these next 12 months.
