New Names from the Hoops and Beyond Showcase

Prep Hoops Missouri ventured to Webster Groves High on Sunday to watch the final day of action at the Hoops and Beyond Showcase. Here is a look at some New Names of players who caught our attention at the event.    A 5'10" 2026 southpaw guard who played at his own pace and was very effective with it. He was very good with the shot fake to lift defenders to set up his drive game to the basket. He is physically strong and he could create contact to score or get to the free throw line. He also finds the open man while off the dribble when he draws a defender.     A 6'3" 2026 shooting guard who can really light it up from downtown when he gets it going. He was excellent off the catch and he could also attack the close out with a one-dribble pull up jumper from the mid-range. His older sister Willow was a prime-time shooter at Rolla a few years back, so Cooper is just following suit.     A 6'4" 2027forward who has a solid body and a solid game to go along with it. He was very effective in the low post where he was patient with his moves. He has a very nice drop step inside to score and he used his body well to draw contact. He could also rip through and drive it from the high post and also step out and hit an open 3-pointer.     A 6'0" 2026 southpaw combo guard who has good quickness along with a nice change of pace in his game. On consecutive possessions, he scored on a slashing drive in the lane, then followed up with a pull up 3-pointer in the transition game. He has a good burst and he is a capable finisher with either hand in the lane.     A 5'9" 2026 point guard who was impressive with his speed and quickness. He was constantly probing the defense for open driving lanes and often finding them. He would either score in the lane or kick the ball out to open shooters on the perimeter. He could also hit the 3-pointer off the dribble to keep defenders off balance.     A 6'1" 2027 forward who plays much bigger than his actual size. He's a physical player who plays with a strong motor. When he was matched up against guards, he would take them into the low post and work them over. He was hitting turnaround jumpers in the lane and also dropping some nice dimes to cutting teammates.
