2028 Rankings: Newcomers

He shoots the ball exceptionally well from the three point line and the ball gets out of his hands quickly. He rebounds well in his area and he is a nice sleeper from a loaded Pioneers sophomore class. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2893420' first='Davion' last='Rhymes'] Carl Hayden</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A defensive scoring guard or wing with a motor. He will score with mid-range jumpers and rebounds in and out of his area surprisingly well. He will get to the basket and score it with put backs and is good in transition.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2855983' first='Kairo' last='Hamilton'] <strong>Carl Hayden</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A quick and fast combo guard can facilitate and score it. The lefty can get a step on his defender to the rim to score or shoot it from the three point line or pull-up. He plays with some toughness on the defensive end. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2878044' first='Novar' last='Byrd'] <strong>Red Mountain</strong> <strong>(Pictured)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A big man gets up the court in a hurry. He is very nimble and light on his toes. He rebounds and blocks or alters shots better then most in the 2028 class. He will score it around the basket, set picks and roll for two. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2878042' first='Davon' last='Darby'] <strong>Red Mountain</strong> </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One of the top pure point guards is your throwback table setter. He is always looking up and surveying the scene and will throw ropes up the court and will often drive and kick and make the game really easy for his teammates. He will score getting to the basket. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2828866' first='Wisdom' last='Woods'] <strong>Bella Vista Prep</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A quick on quick undersized scoring lead guard. He can pour in points from all levels with off the dribble or catch mid-range jumpers or threes with some range. He will often create his own offense as he uses his tighter handle to get some space and get his shot off. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2856037' first='Brady' last='McGirt'] <strong>Desert Mountain</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A highly skilled lefty sharp shooter with decent size and plus feel for the game. He smartly moves without the ball and gets to open spots to launch his pretty three point stroke. He reads the court well and moves the ball like a point guard would. He can do the 1-2 dribble pull-up and after he gets back from his injury, he will be a great addition to their varsity team. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2869831' first='Matthew' last='Draper'] <strong>Arcadia</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>An undersized scoring point guard with skill and a huge IQ. He has a stronger frame to get to the basket downhill and he can get hot from the three point line off the catch. He will find teammates with next level court vision and shoot it from mid-range. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
