The first full week of May is here, meaning that the spring AAU season is in full swing. The 2028 class made their mark during their debut varsity season and should carry it over into the spring. Here are the 2028 Group 3 wing prospects to track this May.

[player_tooltip player_id='2194744' first='AJ' last='Greig'], 6'4 SG/SF Ramapo

Greig ended his varsity career on a high note and is looking to bring that over into the spring AAU season. The 6'4 wing uses his handle to get to his spot on the floor and can finish in a variety of ways around the basket. Greig is more than just a slasher as he has a good release on his jumper and shoots the ball with confidence from behind the arc. He moves well without the ball in his hands and has the length to defend multiple positions on the floor. Greig is a talented wing prospect whose stock could rise with his ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='2683648' first='Jayce' last='Rodriguez'], 6'1 SG Colonia

Rodriguez can play either spot on the perimeter, making him an intriguing prospect to watch in the class. The 6'1 guard has a smooth release on his jumper and can knock down triples in bunches. Rodriguez moves well without the ball in his hands, freeing himself for open jumpers and layups in the half court. He is an underrated passer and slides his feet on the defensive end. Rodriguez is a sharpshooting guard prospect who should torch the nets from distance this May.

[player_tooltip player_id='2390429' first='Bryce' last='Higgins'], 6'3 SF North Hunterdon

Higgins reclassified into the 2028 class this spring, making him eligible for the list. The 6'3 wing has a good first step, which he uses to get to the rim off the bounce and finishes strong around the basket. Higgins can also score in the mid-range and can knock down open jumpers from behind the arc. He works hard for rebounds on both ends of the floor and plays with good instincts on the defensive end. Higgins is a physical forward prospect whose ability to impact the game at both ends of the floor will improve his game over the next couple of weeks.

[player_tooltip player_id='2784326' first='Brady' last='Gillen'], 6'0 SG Toms River East

Gillen's collegiate future is in the back court and should put it on display this spring. The 6'0 guard has a clean shooting stroke as he wastes little motion and can get hot from distance in a hurry. Gillen is more than just a shooter as he can also get into the lane off the bounce and finishes well around the basket. He pushes the pace nicely in transition and is an underrated defender. Gillen's stock has the potential to rise in a big way if he is able to show the ability to run the offense effectively this month.

[player_tooltip player_id='2788586' first='Andrew' last='Bena'], 6'3 SF/PF South Plainfield

Bena has the ability to play either forward position, which makes him a prospect to watch this month. The 6'3 forward plays with good footwork in the post and has a nice touch around the basket. Bena can also put the ball on the floor and has a high release on his free throws. He fights for rebounds on both ends of the floor and holds his ground on the defensive end. Bena is a tough forward prospect whose ability to control the paint is something that will help his stock throughout the next couple of weeks.
