Cartier established himself as a reliable combo guard for a team that was in the hunt throughout last year. Though he was one of the younger guys on the team, he proved to be a clutch performer in clutch situations. He was providing solid minutes for the Cougars until he got injured. A healthy Cartier will be pivotal for his squad, as they are loaded with guards and will be an exciting young team to watch.

Kendaris is one of the players in this class that I am looking forward to watching next year. He is still raw in some areas, and hopefully, he will use the off-season to add to his offensive toolkit. With DeWayne Brown leaving and [player_tooltip player_id='2224458' first='Jackson' last='Sheffield'] stepping in as the man in the middle, Kendaris will be the backup guy to Jackson. There is no questioning if he has the athleticism that can help him impact the game in transition, on the boards, and as a rim protector. With Hoover losing the majority of their scoring production in the graduating class, Kendaris could be able to provide on offense, but he will for sure impact the game on the glass and on defense.

I have followed Cody for a few years, and he has grown his game and emerged as a very confident perimeter shooting guard. He is a multi-level scorer and is really productive with his three-ball and the range in which he can shoot it. His ball-handling has gotten tighter and can be beneficial when he has to handle primary creator duties. Gardendale has some talent, and it will be interesting to see if they can put it all together and make some noise next year. Cody will be a key piece to the puzzle if they can.
