Player Bio

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am my team's point guard and I like to play fast. I am proud of my court vision and my ability to make quick decisions that help my team. I try to find open teammates and create shots for myself and teammates. I've developed excellent ball handling skills. I like to drive to the hoop and can finish in many different ways.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am an active player both on and off the court. I am a team leader and use my voice to help the team remain positive. My energy keeps us in the game and keeps us going if we get behind. I am a supportive teammate. I am able to stay positive after a missed shot or mistake and have worked hard to make sure that my body language remains positive.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have been involved in my school's Leadership team. I have received a Student of the Month every year in middle school. Also, I am involved in my church youth group program where we participate in community service activities.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

In every sport and activity I am in I try to be a leader and keep everyone positive. I was a peer mentor in cross country to a younger teammate. I am also a hard worker and focused on my goals. I get to practices early and I stay late. I look for every chance to work on my skills.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

At the beginning of my 6th grade year I pulled my MCL in a basketball game. I had to sit out most of the season watching my team while I sat on the bench and I felt like I let my team down by not being able to play. I had to learn how to help my team in other ways. When I was able to play again I had to learn how to play without being scared of getting hurt again.
