About Joshua

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Can shoot the 3 but can also drive and get rebounds occasionally. Lots of steals and blocks and can run an offense. I can handle the ball and find open teammates.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am really determined to get to a good college in my area, so I put in work as much as possible, I am super competitive and always want to be the best on the court. Whenever I am not doing schoolwork I am playing basketball.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am in a beach-cleanup club at HTHNC

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed leadership from being the team captain throughout most sports in middle school, and high school. By playing team sports since I was young, I know how to develop my skill to fit in with my teammates.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Some challenges I face are injuries. Injuries are the one thing that can really set back a person in their skill, but I have handled it well. In my Freshman year of basketball, I fractured my toe a couple games before the CIF playoffs. I handled it well by physical therapy and getting into a boot immediately. Although I was injured I still showed up to practice every day, and all of the games.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college in my area, that has a wide range of majors and a great basketball team. I would just be happy to get an offer to a college near me, but I will always want more. I want to participate in the NCAA tournament in college, then head to the NBA after how ever many years are needed.
