In this piece we take a look at the top shooters in the Platinum Division.

Brayden Miner | 2025 | Redondo Union

If there's one thing that Miner does at an elite level it is hit catch-and-shoot three's with consistency. The 6-foot-2 senior has some of the most fundamentally sound shooting mechanics you'll find at the high school level and it results in him being a lethal floor spacer when given time and space. Miner scored 12 points - all from behind the arc - in the Sea Hawks' win over Destiny Christian.

[player_tooltip player_id='1630629' first='Isaac' last='Williamson'] | 2025 | Eastvale Roosevelt

Williamson has the innate ability to knock down dagger-type three's in important games but he also has the ability to break open a game with a barrage of deep jumpers. The 6-foot-2 University of New Mexico-bound guard scored 20 points in Roosevelt's win over San Ramon Valley, including four three-pointers and three in the second half where the Mustangs pulled away.

[player_tooltip player_id='1384815' first='Jaylen' last='Valdez'] | 2025 | Destiny Christian

The 6-foot-3 senior scored a game-high 31 points in a first round loss to Redondo Union and knocked down six three-pointers in that effort. Valdez is a confident and quick-trigger shooter whose ability to set his feet and get into his shooting motion fluidly allows him to get clean looks with limited time and space needed.

[player_tooltip player_id='1630683' first='Julien' last='Gomez'] | 2025 | La Mirada

Gomez dropped 27 points in a comeback win for the Matadores - a game in which they trailed by 17 points at one point in the first half. The 6-foot-2 lefty is a smooth and efficient creator off the bounce who can knock down mid-range jumpers going left or right and hit open three's off the catch, off the bounce or in movement situations. Gomez knocked down three triples and a handful of mid-range jumpers.

Loukas Jones | 2025 | Clovis North

Jones has been one of the better true shooters in the Central Section since he entered high school three years ago and he put that on full display in a win over Los Alamitos. The 6-foot-3 senior knocked down seven triples en route to a game-high 26 points. Jones was best in spot-up situations where guards were able to penetrate the Los Al pressure and kick ot him for wide open looks.

[player_tooltip player_id='2320475' first='Sawyer' last='Batz'] | 2025 | Parish Episcopal (TX)

Batz is a super tough cover for high school defenders because of the speed and purpose in which he moves without the ball. The 6-foot-2 sharpshooter is great at setting up and coming off of screens and sprinting into a balanced jumper. Batz finished with a team-high 19 points, including four three-pointers in a close loss to La Mirada.
