Here's a look at the players that had significant rise in their ranking in the latest update. A rise in a ranking can mean one of a few different things, or a combination of them. One, a player could gain lots of recruiting traction, interest, offers and visits. Two, a player has played so well in the first couple weeks of season, their improvement is remarkable and should be notes. Three, unfortunately there are times when other players above simply tank or can't maintain their current rank allowing another to move above. In any scenario, movement in rankings means one thing, players are doing their part to improve themselves.

[player_tooltip player_id='2304715' first='MJ' last='Patton'] has been nothing short of fantastic almost every time he hits the floor. Maybe the most consistent scorer in small school WV, Patton seems to post 20 point games almost effortlessly regardless of the level of competition, most notably the recent matchup with Princeton where Summit Christian hung with the big school talent for three and a half quarters behind Patton's lead. Patton has had a nice steady rise in stock for nearly a calendar year now.

[player_tooltip player_id='2337625' first='Brady' last='Strode'] simply gets it done for the Silver Knights and pushed his stock upward in doing so since June. Solid offseason event outings as well as early season success ahead of rankings made way for a rankings rise amongst one of WV's best recruiting classes to date.

[player_tooltip player_id='2295581' first='Elijah' last='Pendleton'] is yet another player who's taken advantage of his offseason opportunities as well as a fast start in school season for the TVCS squad. We were able to see Pendleton in a small workout in November that allowed us to see his full skill set which was nothing short of impressive. Pendleton recently got his first official offer which helped raise his stock as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='1578733' first='Bryson' last='Blankenship'] has largely flown under the radar which is tough to do at the basketball crazy Westside program, but it seems he's been quite comfortable as a role player type position but as a 6'6" skilled senior his role became much bigger in a hurry once this season started. We were able to see him on tape and were very impressed with his overall skill and expect him to gain some much deserved recruiting traction very soon as well as movement in this update.

[player_tooltip player_id='1578731' first='Baustin' last='Bowers'] has been on fire for several months now and showing no signs of letting up. His stock rise has been due to relentlessly being a high energy, down hill playing scorer in any setting. We've seen him in 5 on 5 runs, gym workouts and school games and he's the same player throughout all those settings. Bowers is a threat for 30 every night an always gets his work done in the score book. Consistency is key and his biggest reason for rising in this update.

[player_tooltip player_id='2457787' first='Matthew' last='DeGroff'] really was able to gain some attention during AAU season and face great competition as well as have a great fall league this year. And now Matt has started the school season with putting up great numbers in a limited role due to his team getting big leads early. Nonetheless DeGroff has looked great on film and done enough to push upward in the rankings.

[player_tooltip player_id='2241532' first='Josiah' last='Kimble'] is another multi-sport star who's recently left the gridiron and laced up sneakers for the hardwood. Kimble is a tremendous scorer who's had a steady ascent in rankings since his sophomore year with this year being no different. Kimble could be one of the state's best scorer's but that remains to be seen, yet he's done enough to allow him to rise a few spots in this update.
