12/9/24: Remarkable diversity as a scorer. Eli was creative and agile in tight spaces. Webb defended expertly, and yet Owensby gave them buckets in the second half. Owensby is a guy that we have been slow to recognize at PrepHoops.com/Tennessee.

12/9/24: Junior forward [player_tooltip player_id='2166129' first='Alexander' last='Leeth'] is still developing. For the last two years the read on him was, 'high-ceiling and still quite raw.' There is more to like with Leeth and he is still a upside guy. He did not demonstrate the ability to hit deep shots against Maryville. That would be the piece that can lift him from likely D1 player to D1 volume scorer. What is impressive now is his body control. Leeth can contort his slender body around physical defenders and still finish acrobatically. Shooting mechanics are great.

12/9/24: Tremendous defensive instincts. Shavar is the kind of athlete that could play college basketball or college football. Because he focuses so hard on football, his basketball skills really stagnate much of the year. Still, he defends at an elite level. Uses his strength to score inside. Rebounds at an elite level for a high school guard. The crazy thing is Knox Webb does not NEED another guard to be successful, but they have the dynamic two-way player logging high-pressure minutes.

12/9/24: [player_tooltip player_id='2358309' first='Jonathan' last='Woodlee'] was very impressive at creating his own shot. Unfortunately, the team needed about 30 from him on this night. Woodlee did nothing to cause his ranking to be in question. He still looks like a D2 scoring guard down the line. Solid scorer.

12/9/24: Pompey is an undersized guard that reminds of a couple of former State Champions. Remember Jeremiah Oatsvall at Brentwood Academy? He helped BA win four straigh State Championships. [player_tooltip player_id='2350882' first='Eli' last='Graf'] at Alcoa won two chips already for them. All three of these guards are nimble, tough, and brave. Jaylen is the kind of player you win with.
