Brier was not the most talented I saw on the day, but he was one who truly understood his role and stayed within the role. He brought a high level of energy and effort to the floor as he was a relentless competitor. He was active on the glass and was one of the few I have seen who understands going to go get the rebound even when it is out of your area. He defended with intensity as he contested shots and created a lot of deflections. He is the type of player coaches love to have in their program.

Levi is an interior presence for his squad and competes with tenacity on both ends of the floor. He was effective in using his length to be able to put points on the board; the only problem is that he did not look for his offense enough. With his footwork, relentless competitive nature, and touch in the paint, I thought Levi should have looked for his offense more than he did. He has the ability to bring more production to the squad this year than what he showed in this early match-up.

Carson is the ultimate Swiss army knife-caliber player. He does all the dirty work that contributes to winning. He showed his ability to be a multi-level scorer, and he was good scoring with craftiness around the rim. Defensively, he showed that he is a high-intensity defender who makes offensive players compete for everything they get. He rebounded at a high rate and had a good showing overall.

He flashed his athleticism and ability to finish over the top of defenders using his length. He really made his impact on defense and on the glass, and his length was a factor in both areas. Despite it being early in the season, he looked comfortable in his role and will be a solid piece to Oak Mountain's success this year.

Cooper is a dynamic combo guard who balances scoring and facilitating. He shot the ball extremely well from behind the arc and showed a really good burst when attacking off the bounce. He can distribute, but he is a scorer first and showed that he can fill it up. He has a mature floor game and seldom gets rattled. He does a good job using his dribble to create space for driving lanes and shot opportunities. He doesn't need much time or space to get his shot off, and I believe he can find his way to the next level.

Jordan is a budding young talent who can score it from deep. He is a lefty with good technique and touch, and he showed that he could get it done out of his c&s as well as off the bounce. He is a secondary ball-handler who can pick up the slack if he ever has to move to the lead guard spot. He is still developing his overall game, and this year will be one where he will be able to figure some things out that you can only get from game experience, as he will be key to any success that Chelsea will have.

Braxton is a lengthy forward with size that is okay for the schedule his squad has in front of them. If he looks to take his game to the next level, he must continue expanding his game to be more perimeter-oriented. He showed that he could shoot the trey ball very well and score off the bounce when he is ran off the line. He functions as a triple-threat player who can contribute as a shooter, passer, and driver.

Preston is a senior with playmaking skills who can get downhill and put pressure on the defense. He is surrounded by some experienced players, and they will get a lot of the shot attempts. Still, he fits perfectly in the Bearcats system of chaos. He can score from deep and inside the arc, makes timely, on-time passes in the high-octane offense, and defends with tenacity. He is a player many may not know about, but he will have to contend with this year.
