LOS ANGELES — Last weekend's EHA x nxtup hoops Fall High School Invite brought together many of the top high school and prep programs from across Southern California, Arizona and Utah. We were in attendance all day Saturday and Sunday and below we break down the best floor general point guards we saw.

[player_tooltip player_id='2176822' first='Christian' last='Jones'] | 2025 | Hillcrest Prep (AZ)

Jones is a quick and savvy ball handler and creator with the ball in his hands. The 5-foot-10 point guard uses his speed and quickness to blow by defenders for paint touches and makes high IQ decisions when setting up teammates off of that penetration. Jones' ability to manipulate the defense with the dribble and with hesitations and changes of speeds makes him a player who is difficult to keep in front.

[player_tooltip player_id='1583462' first='Jachai' last='Cantave'] | 2026 | Southern California Academy

Cantave's value is in his ability to manage a game both as a distributor and a scorer. The 6-foot-1 lefty takes the temperature of his team well and knows when it's time to get his teammates involved or when he needs to inject some life in his team via scoring. Cantave has three-level scoring prowess and uses his combination of strength and speed to get in the lane and put pressure on the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id='2211006' first='Jordan' last='Charles'] | 2026 | CIA Bella Vista - Grind (AZ)

Charles is a smooth operator at the point guard spot and it is easy to tell that he has the full trust of his coaching staff to make the right decisions. The 6-footer plays with a pace that keeps himself and his team under control but his high IQ passing and willingness to move the ball keeps the defense on their toes. Charles operates like a veteran at the point guard position and his teammates follow suit.

[player_tooltip player_id='1464982' first='Miles' last='Sadler'] | 2026 | CIA Bella Vista (AZ)

There are times throughout games where it looks like Sadler is just toying with opposing defenses. The 5-foot-10 point guard is cat-quick off the bounce but his body control, court vision and ability to pick apart defenses with his vision and basketball IQ. Sadler has great feel in ball screen action and makes the right reads - whether it is throwing a lob to a rolling big man, hitting an open shooter for a corner three-ball or getting himself a bucket.

[player_tooltip player_id='1703073' first='Rodney' last='Westmoreland'] | 2026 | Santa Margarita

Westmoreland's biggest impact is him being an extension of the coach on the floor. While it is a cliche description of a true point guard, the 6-footer is great at getting his team organized and running half-court offense and knowing when to push the tempo to jumpstart transition offense.
