6/20/25: Watching Kelsey Rose Jr. is a lot of fun. The guy looks like he wandered away from the football field. Because he weighs about 210 at 6-foot-4 opponents imagine he will be a power forward or center. Then Rose Jr. catches the ball around the arc and incorporates crafty moves. Rose Jr. employs a herky-jerky style that “wrong-foots” defenders. Rose Jr. might be a point guard. Maybe. As a junior-to-be Rose Jr. dribbles well enough to play the point at the high school level, but must defend bigs for his Eagle team as they lack anybody else capable down low.

2/10/25: Insane athleticism. Kelsey Rose Jr. Kelsey Rose Jr. Kelsey Rose Jr. 6'4" | SF Jackson Christian | 2027 State TN is built like a linebacker, but hoops like a combo guard. Rose Jr. was the best player for Jackson Christian whether it be rebounding, defending, or attacking the rim. While senior Birman Jenkins III Birman Jenkins III Birman Jenkins III 6'6" | SG/SF Jackson Christian | 2025 State TN scored in a more elegant way, he did not dominate stretches of the game or handle as much defensive pressure as Kelsey. Rose Jr. scored13 points.
