Will Armishaw | Prep Hoops Scout
Toure, a wing out of Notre Dame High School West Haven, checks in at #17 among the small forwards and #81 overall in this update. The 6’3″ wing does a nice job of making plays with the ball in his hands, particularly as a scorer in the mid-range. He knows how to create space off the bounce, scores it at the rim as a slasher, and shows poise as a ball-handler in ball screens. He’s developed as a shooter and shows a consistent release in the mid-range and from behind the arc. He has quick feet and good length, both of which allow him to guard multiple positions on the defensive end of the floor. He’ll play this spring and summer with New England Blue Chips.

Toure, who enters his freshman season at Notre Dame-West Haven, made a splash at NERR’s Frosh/Soph Elite 75. A physical and athletic wing, Toure is capable of making an eye opening play on either end of the floor at any second. While he has the ability to play on the perimeter, right now, he shines in the paint. He has a great first step, is physical enough to play through contact, and can finish plays above the rim with authority. He’s capable of handling the ball in transition and is a dynamic straight line driver. Defensively, he’s a tough on ball defender, physical post presence, and can really protect the rim, both on and off the ball. He should continue to develop at a rapid rate at one of the CIAC’s top programs and has real next level potential down the road.
