His first step was sharp and explosive, giving him the ability to gain immediate separation, but it was his control after the burst that set him apart. He had a knack for planting, stopping on a dime, and redirecting with efficient footwork, whether it was a stride stop into a pull-up, a split-second pivot to keep defenders off balance, or a hesitation into a blow-by. His body control in tight spaces gave him the ability to weave through gaps, play off two feet in the lane, and deliver precise passes while still under control.
