South Florida Youth Showdown – Team FSA Elect

The weekend event shined a light on some up and coming prospects in the area to keep an eye on. The 6'3” c/o '27 guard was outrunning the competition all over the court. He seeks out contact on his drives and finishes strong through it. Forges is also a quick decision maker. The ball does not stagnate in his hands. He is that defensive minded guard who does a great job keeping his assignment in front of him and following his opponent's trajectory and cutting them off. Martin strung together a few plays where he was able to dislodge the ball, get the steal and sprint down the court for the layup. He has the confidence to pull it with the briefest moment of daylight if you lag off him defensively. Hughes has a high release and gets into his shooting motion quickly. I would not let Hughes out of your sight as a defender or let him see the ball go in. For an undersized player, he does an extremely impressive job crashing the glass. Pushing the ball and finding Hughes to get into a set while he runs the wings is how Rupert finds most of his buckets in transition. He can create a bit for himself as well in 1 on 1 situations but is finding more success in off ball motion.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
