Parrias had a solid performance and showed his ability to contribute without having to be a scorer. His length helped him to rebound at a high rate and to contest shots on the defensive end of the floor. He did not show a lot when it came to the offensive end of the floor, but he did show his ability to knock down the trey ball and help keep the floor spaced. He is a disciplined, complementary option when on the floor, but his major area of growth is the need to get stronger. He is slim and is easily pushed around.

Nicklaus is a backcourt talent who competed yet had moments where he disappeared and did not stand out or make plays that would keep eyes on him. He scored from behind the arc but did not appear very comfortable handling the rock at times. He is useful and reliable as he takes care of the ball and keeps the offense fluid by not allowing the ball to stick with him. The truth is that Nicklaus has a lot of work to do in his game to find his way to the next level. The question will be whether he has the desire to do what it takes.

Nasir was one of the players in camp whom Coach Kennedy and his staff were high on and were looking to see how he would compete in the caliber camp in which they were taking the players through. Nasir is coming off a really good performance during the North and South game, and a lot of buzz has picked back up around him. Nasir is a versatile talent with good positional size, plays with a motor, and is really good off the bounce. I know that from covering him over the past few years, and I was excited to see how he would compete in the camp setting. I was thoroughly shocked with the lackluster performance he showed throughout the first part of the day, and for a while the sentiments from many was that he did not want to be there. He kind of picked it up during the second part of the day, but by no means did he help himself with his overall performance throughout the day. Coach Kennedy and his staff may still consider him because he has proven to be a talented athlete.

John goes as Jake, but I will refer to him as John in this article to avoid confusion. He was one of the youngest guys in camp but put on a really good performance throughout the day. He competed throughout the entire day, and even though he was not the most athletic and was small, he played with a lot of passion and heart. As you see in his profile, the 5'8 might deter some from him, but fortunately for John, he is entering his sophomore season and has some time to see if he will grow anymore. He was one of the quickest off the bounce, as he has a quick first step and lived in the paint. He is a playmaker who gets to the cup, gets his teammates involved, and makes plays on both ends of the floor. He is a player to keep an eye on over the next two years to see where his game will be the summer entering his senior year.

I have written on Ray a lot, so those who follow me know that he is a really good shooter from behind the arc. He was dealing with a knee injury coming into camp, but he still came out and competed. He was not at 100%, but he still managed to have a solid showing, particularly doing what he does best, which is shooting the trey ball. Coach Kennedy and his staff had already done their research on Ray, and he was one that they paid close attention to.
