About Luke

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Tough defender, crashes the boards, works hard inside on offense, quick off the dribble to drive.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Team player, working hard always to be a positive leader both on and off of the floor. I believe the more time, effort, energy, and dedication, the more myself and my team can accomplish.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Church youth group, FFA, Key Club, FCA, Merritt Academic team, student council. I am the FFA VP, Stuco president and VP of the class of 2025. I have received several awards through FFA.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I feel I have developed the skills to be a great leader through involvement in all of the different activities and organizations that I am part of. With all of the organizations I have gotten to take part in many community service activities and always work to be the best teammate and leader I can be in any situation.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Over the past few years I have lost several significant family members but with trust in God and the support of family have been able to work through the losses.

What type of college are you looking for?

Colleges that help me grow to be the successful adult I hope to be. Somewhere that provides great learning opportunities with a strong team foundation.

Luke Peffer Luke Peffer Luke Peffer 6'7" | C Merritt | 2025 State OK is a lengthy big man with a high motor and a great feel for the game. He was one of the better rim protectors at this event and tallied a number of blocks throughout the weekend. One of his strongest skills was his ability to rim run. There were several instances where Luke would block a shot and still be able to beat his man down the court for a wide open look at the rim. He also scored a number of points out of post-up looks, but his biggest impact could be seen off of second-chance-points. Luke’s second jump was very quick and this helped him to quickly grab offensive-rebounds and finish through contact. Whether Luke was tallying stats or not, Luke’s impact was easy to see and I’m sure could be felt by opponents on both sides of the floor.
