Talented Players Standing Out In The ATL!

He is a dynamic playmaker who can score the rock at a high level. He is a high-volume shottaker who scores at all levels. He is aggressive attacking off the bounce, and there are times he makes getting to the cup look really easy. He can truly get a look wherever and whenever he wants, as he is a highly skilled prospect with quickness off the bounce. Jaylen was one of the best offensive threats I saw at Best of The South because of his maturity, vision, creativity, and shooting. Defensively, he was active with his hands and was very instinctive. As he eyes life at the next level, he is going to have to continue putting in work in the weight room, getting his body ready for the physical play. He has good positional size and competes on both ends of the floor. Offensively, his potential can be seen in how he attacks the basket with force, pulls up for the midi, and uses his soft touch in and outside the paint. He is a prospect that can help a program at the next level. He is a really good finisher around the rim, and he has shown his ability to knock down the outside shot. He plays with grit and toughness and provides on-court leadership. His coach told me that James recorded ten blocks in a game, which is impressive for a 6'5 listed center on the high school level. He showed his ability to defend on the perimeter, which is going to be essential as he looks towards the next level. He finished well around the rim and was impressive at how vocal he was demanding the ball on the low block.
