On Sunday, the Grind Region crowned three champions for the three age groups that participated in the weekend tournament. WonbyOne from Oklahoma, ProSkillsMTX '26 from Mansfield (TX), and the DC Kings Denton 2025 (TX) took home the 15U, 16U, & 17U titles respectively. All winning teams had primetime performers who helped them win. The runners-up (Kruse Elite Basketball Academy '25 & Xpress Sports '26 & '27) also had players who performed well during the championships. Because of the performances of all six teams, an all-championship team was developed. In this Prep Hoops exclusive, we will review who we feel made the Grind Region All-Championship team.

All-Championship 1st Team

Hunter Mack Helms (DC Kings Denton 2025)

Brady Collar (Kruse Elite Basketball Academy 2025)

Jaxon Sneed (ProSkills MTX 2026)

Baker Hoskins (Xpress Sports 2026)

Dewayne McKinney (Team WonbyOne 2027)

[player_tooltip player_id='2313820' first='Jordyn' last='Wilson'] (Xpress Sports 2027)

Hunter Helms may have been the Grind Region's best guard. His court vision along with his shot-making was superb all weekend. Brady Collar was the best shooter at Drive Nation by far. His perimeter shooting during the semifinal and final showed a high level of accuracy. Jaxon Sneed and his all-around play led ProSkillsMTX to the 16U title. He played the top on the press while scoring at multiple levels on offense. Xpress Sports '26 Baker Hoskins displayed his multi-faceted game against ProSkillsMTX. He can rebound and go, score from penetration, and shoot from the perimeter. Dewayne Haskins was the top 15U player during the weekend. His ability to defend multiple positions while scoring almost at will showed his high level of talent. [player_tooltip player_id='2313820' first='Jordyn' last='Wilson']'s aggressive style of play almost helped Xpress Sports '27 win the title. He is a player who is truly a three level scorer.

All-Championship 2nd Team

Jacory Singh (DC Kings Denton 2025)

Will Beck (Kruse Elite Basketball Academy 2025)

Shanganmeir Sutton (ProSkills MTX 2026)

[player_tooltip player_id='2406982' first='Zyquayvious' last='Smith'] (Xpress Sports 2026)

Tim Ososonya (Team WonbyOne 2027)

[player_tooltip player_id='2471549' first='Kaydhn' last='Hardie'] (Xpress Sports 2027)

Jacory Singh played high level defense while showing he could score in transition and the mid-range. Will Beck used his height and length to score in the paint and the perimeter for his team. Shanganmeir Sutton was a defensive stalwart who proved he can hurt teams offensively from outside and in. [player_tooltip player_id='2406982' first='Zyquayvious' last='Smith']'s ability to finish drives through contact was excellent to see. Tim Ososonya displayed two-way ability that helped his team win the 15U title. [player_tooltip player_id='2471549' first='Kaydhn' last='Hardie'] displayed high level perimeter scoring ability along with leadership during the bracket and championship play.

All-Championship 3rd Team

Jamarian Harper (DC Kings Denton 2025)

Connor Rabbitt (Kruse Elite Basketball Academy 2025)

Israel Awoyomi (ProSkills MTX 2026)

[player_tooltip player_id='2400598' first='Collin' last='Stafford'] (Xpress Sports 2026)

Rea Reynolds (Team WonbyOne 2027)

[player_tooltip player_id='2318074' first='Kameron' last='Rivers'] (Xpress Sports 2027)

Jamarian Harper was one of the Prep Hoops top performers over the weekend because of his two-way play. Connor Rabbitt had a nice floor game shooting from the outside and defending. Israel Awoyomi defense and transition play was key in the ProSkillsMTX title run. [player_tooltip player_id='2400598' first='Collin' last='Stafford'] displayed deep three point range with excellent perimeter defense. Rea Reynolds scoring and rebounding was huge for Team WonbyOne. [player_tooltip player_id='2318074' first='Kameron' last='Rivers'] pure point guard skills and high caliber defense were one of the reasons why Xpress played for the title.

Look for these players to repeat their performances as they move into the live period during the next two weekends in July. They should be as impressive as they were during the championship rounds in DFW.
