Kayle Covington Kayle Covington 6'3" | SG Lovington | 2025 State NM , Lovington: The 6-foot-4 Covington is an excellent shooting guard for the Wildcats, who reached the quarterfinals of the Class 4A Tournament in March. He averaged 15.7 points per game in 2023-24 and earned Second-Team All-State honors. He does most of his scoring damage close to the basket with 175 of his 182 baskets last season being 2-pointers. . He shot 53 percent and collected 54 steals.

, Artesia: Still a rising junior, the 6-foot-7 Kincaid is developing into one of the top big men in New Mexico. He is spending part of his summer working with the coaches at ABC Prep, so you know he is held in high regard. He has been impressive on the summer circuit. He’ll be a monster for Artesia in 2024-25 on both ends of the floor. Great at protecting the rim on defense with his shot-blocking abilities.

, Highland: A confident shooter, Licon led Highland to the Class 4A state championship by averaging 28.8 points per game, and totaled a staggering 146 3-pointers, far and away the most in the state last season. Licon’s secret is a quick release to go along with shot-making versatility that allow him to connect from all angles and areas of the floor. No surprise Licon was named First-Team All-State
Boudy Melonas Boudy Melonas 5'8" | SG Grants | 2025 State NM , Grants: Melonas was the leader of Grants’ fast-paced attack, earning Second-Team All-State honors. He scored a game-high 27 points on 11-of-18 shooting in the Pirates’ hard-fought 4A tournament quarterfinal loss to Highland. With Melonas returning, Grants should be factor next season.
Serafin Mendez Serafin Mendez 6'4" | PF Pojoaque Valley | 2026 State NM , Pojoaque Valley: Following the 2022-23 season when he was a freshman, Mendez was named one of the fastest stock risers in the 2026 prospect rankings. As a result, expectations were high for his sophomore campaign in 2023-24 and the 6-foot-5 Mendez didn’t disappoint. He averaged 12.6 points and 8.1 rebounds per game. He shot 61 percent from the field.
Francois Satchivi Francois Satchivi 6'1" | CG Del Norte | 2026 State NM , Del Norte: Satchivi was Del Norte’s leading scorer in 2023-24 (12.7 ppg). He’s an excellent 3-point shooter, connecting on 40 percent of his attempts from beyond the arc, and makes his free throws (80 percent). Del Note will look to bounce back in 2024-25 and Satchivi will be expected to be one of the leaders.
