Ryan has been solid for VA playmakers this AAU season, but where he caught my eye was in the Capitol Hoops summer league. He had some big performances that showed off his elite shooting stroke. Ryan is a smart basketball player and an outstanding shooter from anywhere on the court.

[player_tooltip player_id='1598929' first='Belgude' last='Choijilsuren'] was a player I expected to leap this summer. He didn't have a significant role on Fairfax this past season, but a lot of that was because of the senior talent they had. Belgude made some waves last year, and this summer, he's again showing what he can do. He impressed me in the HammerZone Summer League, and I watched him put in 24 points in a close win against Langley a few days ago. Belgude is a great shooter and has become a nice driver and scorer. He is a good passer and a plus defender as well.

Another Fairfax Lion that impressed me is [player_tooltip player_id='2242420' first='Cam' last='Yingling']. Cam played a bigger role than Belgude for Fairfax, and I expect him to go from a good role player to one of the better guards in the area. Cam was terrific in the HammerZone Summer League game. I watched him put up 22 points. He has also been wildly impressive for the Nova Cavs this AAU season. Cam is a complete scorer and a good athlete. He has great size for a guard and has a terrific motor. He was great all year for Fairfax rebounding, which has to go to the energy he brings with his frame.

Robinson was a team that was better than their record showed last year. They played a lot of competitive games against some outstanding teams. Their best player is [player_tooltip player_id='1966646' first='Noah' last='Barnhart'], and he had a solid sophomore year. I've watched him in the HammerZone summer league, and he has been terrific. Noah is a good shooter and knows how to create his shot. He has a nice handle and a smooth game. He is a solid athlete and is a good driver. He is a guy that I expect to take a leap going forward, and he has had an excellent start to the summer.

[player_tooltip player_id='1767547' first='Ethan' last='Salvatierra'] has had a great summer league for Forest Park. He had a terrific Junior season, but watching this year makes me feel like he's poised to take another step. I like Ethan's competitiveness on defense, and he is a great passer. He has been one of the leading scorers in the Summer League, and with Forest Park losing the offensive production they'll be losing, I could see Ethan being in the mid-to-high teens in PPG next year.

These players have impressed me over the past month through AAU ball or summer league for their high school.
