Of course, I’ll get DM’s, texts or tweets telling me who I should’ve included, but keep in mind, I can only write about who I see in person. The 2027 class is starting to really shape up well and show some higher level talent. We’ve yet to discover any off the charts size yet but we have found some outstanding talented and skilled kids that hail from all over WV.
- Blaze Colistra Blaze Colistra 6'2" | PF Morgantown | 2028 WV lit it up vs In-Step Select 15U, dropping 20 in a highly contested battle that ended in a four point loss for Colistra’s WV Legends. Nonetheless Colistra showed some excellent offensive skill and toughness. An inside-out forward, Colistra should be a very solid stretch four if we’re projecting the future for the young Morgantown Mohigan.
- Peyton Cline Peyton Cline 6'1" | PF Parkersburg South | 2027 WV of In-Step Select is a great looking prospect who’s in the Parkersburg South program and could be an important piece of their puzzle soon. Cline made great cuts to the bucket, and strong finishes in traffic to score the ball multiple times. A very active and physical player, Cline will fit into the mix at South just fine.
- Gavin Williams Gavin Williams 6'0" | PG Bridgeport | 2027 State WV showed why he was a varsity player early in his career at Bridgeport High School. Williams didn’t just show it in uniform for the WV Reign Elite where he posted scoring totals of 24, 18, & 18, but also suited up in a 17U game for his high school squad “Tribe” and faced Mountain State Academy (a HGSL team) and didn’t shy away while scoring multiple buckets. Williams is a point guard full of energy and change of direction, keeping the defense on their heels. An excellent mid range shooter and penetrates the lane like a seasoned veteran.
- Kaden Welch Kaden Welch 6'2" | CG George Washington | 2027 State WV , a George Washington freshman, dropped 13 and 11 helping lead the WV Hustle 15U into Sunday’s championship round. Welch has a great knack to score and is very active on both ends.
- Elijah Ramsey Elijah Ramsey 5'10" | PG North Marion | 2027 State WV showed up big for Team Wildcat the entire weekend posting scoring totals of 26, 35 and 21! Ramsey is a serious player who’s just finishing his freshman year at North Marion. Look for Ramsey to help replace scoring lost to graduation on the Huskies roster. I
- Arlo Colistra Arlo Colistra 6'2" | SF Morgantown | 2028 WV , twin brother of the above mentioned Blaze, had strong games with his biggest in arguably most competitive game of the weekend vs. WV Reign and posted 25 points.
- Cayden Arnold Cayden Arnold 5'11" | SG Tucker County | 2027 State WV has remained a steady option for the WV Reign 2027’s. Arnold stayed the pace with totals of 13,15 & 8 this weekend vs top competition. Arnold will certainly be competing for varsity time at Tucker County this coming season.
Other notable performers include: Isaiah Scott, Noah Evans Noah Evans 5'10" | CG Sissonville | 2027 State WV (WV Hustle), Xavier St. Andry Xavier St. Andry 6'1" | SG Parkersburg South | 2027 WV , Branson Lott Branson Lott 5'11" | SG Parkersburg High School | 2027 WV (In Step Select), , Sam Frey, Kai Henkins, Jake DeBastiani (WV Legends), Ethan Cummings Ethan Cummings 6'2" | SG Tucker | 2027 State WV , Braylon Ward Braylon Ward 6'1" | PG Union Educational Complex | 2027 State WV (WV Reign Elite)
