Expert Analysis
Greg Michlig | Prep Hoops Scout
A versatile player for Baldwin-Woodville, Clauson made an impact across all areas of the game last season. He averaged 12.1 points per game as a consistent double-digit scorer while contributing 4.2 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game to support his team offensively. Defensively, he stood out as a plus player, combining strong steal numbers with effective shot-blocking. With his ability to make high-impact contributions from anywhere on the court, Clausen is a player who can be a true game-changer this season.

Baldwin-Woodville is in good hands with 2025 Clausen on the roster.
Last season he led his team in scoring, being a consistent threat on multiple levels offensively. He’s an athletic prospect who moves well without the basketball, takes the right shots, and gets his teammates involved. He was named to 2nd Team All-Conference as a junior.

A player for collegiate programs to watch closely this winter, Clausen is an emerging wing prospect with excellent size, physical strength and skill. Clausen had a good junior season, averaging 12.1 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.5 assists while earning second-team all-Middle Border Conference recognition. He also performed well for the Wisconsin Playmakers 17U Prep Hoops squad. He is poised for a big senior season as he figures to take on more of the scoring load with four starters from a year ago graduating last spring. Clausen shot 34 percent from three-point range in 2023-24, making 50-of-146 attempts from long distance.

Clausen is a solid 6’5″ left-hander who showed a lot of senior leadership on the court. He was constantly communicating with his teammates and led by example, playing intense defense especially when on-ball. Evan led his team in scoring last season and showed his ability to continue to do so, but there were many other parts of his game that stood out as well. He appears to be a team player, making solid and unselfish passes from the perimeter or on the drive and kick. He also moves well without the ball, finding open spaces at which he can spot up for threes. Evan brings the ball up the court and I would put him down as a combo guard who could also play more internally with his frame, should a coach at the next level have a need.
