Ensor flashes elite potential with a combination of size and touch that’s rare at 7 feet. When engaged, he dominates inside, catching lobs, finishing through contact, and altering shots defensively. However, it appears that there is a switch that he must figure out how to keep on at all times. His hands and coordination stand out for dump-offs and guards finding him down low, and he’s showing the ability to step out and hit mid-range jumpers and occasional threes. He’s a raw but highly intriguing prospect, and his ceiling is among the highest in the state, and that was on display in the gauntlet that Northfield had at the event.

Offensively a dominant interior force, once he establishes position and gets a touch, he’s finishing above the rim with authority. Defensively, he anchors the paint as a premier rim protector, consistently altering, blocking, and deflecting shots while controlling the glass. What sets Ensor apart is his mobility in transition. He runs the floor exceptionally well, beating opponents down the court for easy scoring opportunities or to eliminate fast break chances for the opposition. Alex Ensor is a ruthless big man who utilizes his size and length to the fullest potential on both ends. Swatting shots left and right is where Ensor is most comfortable defensively. Ensor elevates the pace in transition and gets his teammates involved often. Offensively, Ensor’s effectiveness off the pick and roll leads to an array of buckets.

Alex Ensor is a monstrous big who utilizes his sky scraping height to make defenders look silly. Ensor does a phenomenal job establishing himself in the post, and uses his footwork down low to get any look he wants. Defensively, Ensor’s frame allows him to swat away any shot coming his way.

Ensor has solidified himself as one of the premier rim protectors in this class at 6’10/6’11. Putting up 9.4 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 4.4 blocks per game, he has taken advantage of the new opportunities over at Northfield. That team has always focused on their defensive presence, Ensor is the latest name to exemplify their culture with his shot blocking. On the opposite end, he has found success as a lob threat and dunker down low. His willingness as a slasher and roller makes him a consistent threat around the basket.

Ensor will be a name to follow at 6’10, providing 6 rebounds and 4.5 blocks through two games. A valuable defensive weapon for this Northfield group, he brings quick instincts as a help defender, altering or swatting away numerous attempts at the rim.

The lanky frontcourt prospect brings plenty of defensive upside to Northfield, who remains one of the more competitive programs in the Denver metro area. Particularly effective on help side rotations, his sheer length is tough for many opponents to deal with. Offensively, Ensor has a great baseline to work with in the post. Capable of getting to turnaround hook shots over the contest, his right hand under pressure is fairly consistent at this stage in his career. Although on low volume, Ensor has shown value knocking down the open triple when provided space. Northfield was among the best defensive programs in the state last season, Ensor along with the returning varsity contributors brings a great baseline to build with. 

The lanky big man provides plenty of upside protecting the rim, bringing in a wide reach at 6’10. Showing flashes as a perimeter shooter on spot-up attempts, nearly unguardable at his height with such attempts. Defensively, his wide reach makes him an intriguing option for a Northfield group with title aspirations, just like last season.
