Hicks had an impressive off-season. He had a great showing at Section 7 where he gained interest from many coaches. Hicks is a high percentage three level scoring threat. Handles the ball very well. High impact player who showed he can take over the game at any moment. I expect a big season from Hicks who could find himself on first team all region and more.

Hicks came into Section 7 has one of the more “unknown” prospects from Southern AZ. With every game he played he gained more attention from coaches and scouts in attendance. A strong defender with a really good feel for the game. When Salpointe needed a momentum shift Hicks consistently showed up. In the second half vs Williams Field Cam got things going with a nice dunk scoring 2 of his 12 points in that half on 6/6 shooting. In the championship game vs Verrado Hicks took over for the Lancers yet again scoring 13 of his 17 points in the second half on 8/11 shooting. A high percentage scorer who makes the right plays. Received interest from a few coaches in attendance which will grow from here.

Had great lift on his jumper and was locked in as a scorer throughout the event. Knocked down threes, hit mid-range shots, and made tough moving pull-ups look smooth and in rhythm. Got downhill with ease and finished above the rim with control and touch. One of the best performers at the event — brought it every game and made a clear impact on both ends.
