A fundamentally sound basketball player, Matt Caplan Matt Caplan 6'2" | SG Summit | 2026 State NJ has done a really good job of playing within himself over this first month or so of tournaments this spring. Caplan has been aggressive downhill attacker in getting to the basket while also showcasing his ability to be a lethal shooter from three point range. As we approach the May live period, look for Caplan to continue his strong play as a guy that excels off the ball as a three point shooter and a guy that can also attack closeouts and get to the basket.

Matt Caplan Matt Caplan 6'2" | SG Summit | 2026 State NJ ‘s junior season saw him be most effective finishing at the basket both in transition and throughout Summit’s halfcourt sets. Caplan showcased not only his ability to get on the rim in transition but also attack closeouts and finish around defenders and through contact at the rim. Caplan also showed flashes of being a capable spot up shooter as the season went along. Caplan averaged 12.0 PPG.
