We recently wrote about 6 prospects in the NYC CHSAA that we would buy stock in but we promised we would write about some sleepers as well. These are some really talented kids who all had good year and will be back next season with even bigger expectations. Here’s our breakdown of these prospects who we believe could be potential All CHSAA players.

Fields transferred in from the PSAL over the summer with some lofty expectations but we knew there would be an adjustment period. He stepped in as a starter, played the role he was asked, helped space the floor with his ability to make threes and took on tough matchups defensively all year. The off guard was great on the perimeter, had tough inside scores, rebounded better than we thought and did a little bit of everything to contribute to winning. We know the Cardinals return a lot of their talented core but we feel Fields takes another massive step next season.

Ziegler came to CTK this offseason and proved he belonged right now for the Royals as a dependable starter. He filled in for Devin Vanterpool as while he isn’t as big as him Ziegler had a lot of the same traits. The Junior is a physical defender, great three point shooter, quick, smart, tough and ready for the big moment. His upside is great for CTK and he should contribute even more for them as he looks to boost his recruiting profile.

Hamilton came to the Lions from New Jersey and popped right away. He was a solid and steady floor general for Bishop Loughlin all year plus showed flashes of serious potential. The sophomore is unselfish, a gifted passer, makes pull up threes, creates offense and applies pressure to the defense. We really like his upside, attitude, ability and think he could have a massive Junior campaign.

St. Francis Prep had another terrific season and the Terriers return almost all of their fire power. While the focus maybe on a few different players on the squad we believe Fason is an emerging superstar. He is an elite three point shooter, great finisher around the rim, physical and sees the game different from most. This program is very unselfish in general but Fason reads the defense, feeds the hot hand, takes over when his squad needs it and is an extension of the coaching staff.

King surprised us in the playoffs with his ability to score from all three levels and showed some big time flashes. He put together a solid Junior year but really could take off with a strong offseason. His size, shot IQ, defensive versatility and handle are all the makings of a D1 prospect. We can’t wait to see if King can make the transition from a sleeper and a piece to potentially an All league guy.

The Knights are a program on the rise, they got the right coach in charge of the show and if they empower Taitt-Christina good things will happen. He is an effective wing who can get stops, score inside, rebound and find open teammates. His efficiency was great, he made a bunch of winning plays and wasn’t afraid to take the last shot. We think with the trust of his teammates, a big offseason and a few improvements he could one of the more interesting prospects in the CHSAA.
