The Everingham brothers have played a big role in NorthWood’s sustained success this season. Maddux scored 18 points on Friday as the Panthers “upset” Class 4A Northridge 50-46 to move to 13-1 on the season. Both are talented perimeter shot-makers with a sneaky pop of athleticism.

The Everingham family played a big role in NorthWood’s comeback win over Zionsville. Maddux, a sharp-shooting guard that transferred in from Wawasee, was the best of the bunch though finishing with 12 points and getting hot from beyond the arc in the second half. Despite trailing by 12 points at the half, NorthWood defeated Zionsville 51-40 in the second game on Saturday. Everingham is an under-the-radar guard for small college programs to keep an eye on.

Playing in one of the most exciting games I’ve seen all weekend, Everingham and OPS NLI went down to the wire with H OPS on Elite. Knocking down some key 3-pointers in the second half, Everingham hit a few shots to take the lead in key moments. It seemed like whenever his team needed a bucket, he came through. On the defensive side of the court, I liked the way Everingham used his hands to strip the ball without fouling. There were a few times he tipped the ball off an opposing ball handlers leg to force a turnover.

OPS NLI 2025 came up short, 63-62, against Hopson Elite 2025 to cap off Friday night’s action. However, this under-the-radar guard from Wawasee High School was excellent. Everingham poured in a game-high 23 points while connecting on a trio of three-point shots showcasing his perimeter skill level as a scorer. He can elevate up over the defense on his jump shot and displayed a real knack for putting the ball in the basket.
