An excellent performance by Caudill who was getting some tough self-created buckets off the dribble. To open the game Caudill scored off a DHO and Caudill also knocked down some tough mid-range buckets off the dribble. With his ball handling ability, positional size and scoring talent, Caudill was the perfect player to try and lead a 14th region team to a win. Great effort by Hazard to get the game within a bucket in the fourth quarter.

One of the front runners for 14th region player of the year, Seth is averaging just shy of 20 points per game and kicking in 6 rebounds per game from the guard spot. Caudill has not had a great shooting year from three but he shoots his free throws well and is good at getting to the line multiple times per game. Over the last 7 games, Seth has started to hit his stride. He’s averaging 25.4 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists per game over that stretch.

Caudill is one of the top players in the mountains and a heavy favorite to be regional player of the year. Seth has had a very good career for Hazard and expects to end it at Rupp Arena. He’s been offered by several D2/NAIA schools and has the potential to be a steal for a college when he signs.

is already recognized as one of the 14th Region’s premier offensive threats. A true three-level scorer, he can finish around the rim, pull up in the mid-range, and stretch defenses from deep, where he shot 36% last season. Caudill has already surpassed 1,000 career points and averaged 14.4 points per game as a junior while shooting 48% from the field. He’s especially dangerous when he gets hot, with the ability to swing momentum in a matter of possessions, and he has shown the poise to deliver in clutch situations. His scoring versatility, consistency, and knack for finding open looks make him a player opponents will have to account for every night.

Caudill, like Whitehead, was stuck in the back end of the rankings as a place holder until we were able to see him in person. After seeing Seth with STARS Basketball this summer, he moved up from 150 to 62 and is probably still under-ranked at this point. Hopefully we can get to see Caudill a few more times in the near future.

Another small-town Kentucky prospect on the Stars 16 U group, Caudill was getting buckets from long distance on Saturday morning. When his feet were set from 3-point range, it usually went in for Caudill. Another limited athlete, I liked how Caudill figured out ways to move without the basketball to get himself open to fire away from long distance. One of the top scorers in the 14th region, Caudill should put up some huge numbers for Hazard the next two seasons.
