Sims was a top scoring-guard as a sophomore on the NCHSAA stage this season with Southeast Alamance High. He showed he could fill up the stat sheet in a number of ways after averaging 23.8 PPG, 6.3 RPG, 4.5 SPG and 3.2 APG on 43 percent shooting from the field and 32 percent shooting from 3-point land. He’s a face to watch with Carolina Blitz on the independent grassroots scene this spring/summer.

Sims was quite the presence in the Southeast Alamance backcourt in 2023-24 in his sophomore campaign as he debuts at 58 in the latest rankings update. He posted 23.8 PPG, 6.3 RPG, 4.5 SPG and 3.2 APG on 32 percent shooting from behind the arc and 43 percent shooting from the field to lead their squad to a third-place finish in the 1A/2A Mid-Carolina Conference. He knocked down 68 3-pointers as a sophomore, according to MaxPreps. He’s a strong-framed 6-foot-1 guard to keep an eye on in the class in the East.
