He handles the ball well, plays low to the ground, and proved that he can facilitate and score when opportunities present themselves. He is a lead guard who shares responsibilities with several other teammates so he is not spending majority of his time at the PG spot. However, when the ball is in his hands and he is giving the reigns, he keeps all the talented scorers surrounding him happy because he distributes the rock evenly. He is small, but he brings a lot to the game, as he can be trusted with the keys to the squad.

Amare Medhin (5'8/PG/'28/Decatur Blazers)

IG: flugamejames

Amare is a lead guard who is not very flashy but is highly productive. He doesn't overwhelm you, but he has handles and is the primary initiator of the offense. He creates opportunities for his teammates as he impacts the game without having to score. He showed that he can score from deep, which keeps defenders honest. He is heady and showed that he can be trusted with the rock and trusted to make good decisions while out on the floor.

Tory Smith (5'9/PG/'29/JSI)

IG: ToryHoops

X: @ToryHoops

Tory is a skilled PG who showed a lot of potential at the lead guard spot. He can handle the rock, initiate the offense, and has very good court vision and court awareness. He was the primary ball-handler as he spent most of the time at the lead guard spot and did a good job getting his team into their sets, which coaches are looking at early in the season to see if the PG spot is secure. I have to attest that from what I saw this weekend, JSI is in good hands with Tory running the show. His upside is tantalizing, but there are some areas that have room for growth.

Ezra Gelin (6'2/PG/'28/Nightrydas)

IG: ezra_gelin

X: @ezra_gelin

Ezra is a lead guard who had his team running on all cylinders during certain times of the tourney. This Nightrydas squad is loaded, and Ezra showed his ability to be a quality distributor on a team with a lot of players who desire the ball in their hands. He is a tremendous penetrator with a potent floater game and can really get it done in his middle game. He uses his ability to get into the heart of the defense to create opportunities for his teammates. He is going to be a big piece to the squad as this was the first time that many of these guys have played together with limited practice, so it speaks volumes to what Ezra was able to accomplish this past weekend as he led this squad.

Armani Morris (5'11/PG/'29/Tre Man Elite)

IG: d1money_.5

Armani is an athletic lead guard who is very tough off the bounce. He has positional size for his age division and can be considered a big lead guard. He has natural instincts for the position and does a good job balancing facilitating and scoring. He is at his best, and his athleticism can be seen when he is out in the open floor, where he either finishes above the rim or is dropping the rock to teammates who are out and running with him. He has the physical tools and a developing PG IQ and is poised to have a good spring and summer.

Khyri Brown (5'9/PG/'28/Atlanta Express)

IG: ihoop_khyribrown4

Khyri was sensational in running the show for his squad over the weekend. If he can be consistent with his level of play throughout the spring and summer, then Atlanta Express will be in good hands. He has the keys to the squad and does a really good job orchestrating the offense. Khyri plays the game low to high and is tough to contain, as he has tremendous burst in the open floor and keeps defenders on their heels. He brings energy and effort and leads his squad with a lot of confidence.

[player_tooltip player_id='2748260' first='Bryce' last='Young'] (6'0/PG/'28/[program_tooltip program_id='2076571' first='MCW' last=''] Warriors)

IG: Hezzy.Bryce

X: @HezzyBryce

Bryce is a dynamic lead guard who is very explosive off the bounce and can easily be considered a score-first PG. Every game I was able to watch him play, he was in attack mode for a good portion of the game. He is at his best and makes his team better when he has the freedom to orchestrate and create opportunities on the offensive end of the floor. Bryce can get a shot whenever he wants which makes defenses have to keep 10 eyes on him at all times. He utilizes his ability to live in the paint to create opportunities for his teammates. He has always been active on the defensive end of the floor and has gotten a lot more aggressive with his on-ball defensive pressure.
