Top 250: All Showcase Team

The talent in the gym at the recent Prep Hoops Top 250 Showcase was at a high level, but some guys stood out above the pack.  Our look at the Top 250 All Showcase Team. Isaac Lange              6'1      Guard         2019          Thurston HS The lightning quick combo guard from the Eugene area showed off an improved handle and shooting ability to compliment his ability to get out in transition.  The long Lange also showed off a knack for creating havoc on the defensive end of the floor, routinely getting into passing lanes to get his hands on a number of passes. Mason Miller          6'7       Post           2019            Thurston HS Lange's Thurston High teammate proved to be the top post player at the showcase.  Miller's best skill may be that he plays really hard all the time, amazing how that leads to production.  Miller also displayed some nice back to the basket moves, finishing with both hands around the rim.  He also was aggressive going after the ball off the glass on both ends of the floor. Alex Schumaker     6'2     Guard        2019            Skyview HS (WA) The ultra athletic guard is truly a "do a little bit of everything" kind of player.  This versatility was on display throughout the day where he consistently made the plays necessary for himself and teammates to have success.  Schumaker's combination of basketball IQ and athletic ability should make him a tough match up in the Greater St. Helens League. Micah Garrett         6'3       Guard       2020           West Linn HS Garrett, the #1 ranked player in the class of 2020 showed off an increased level of athleticism that was missing during the summer AAU circuit.  This translated into several nice finishes in transition where he simply rose over the defender to score at the rim.  Couple this with solid outside shooting and the ceiling for Garrett is very high. Bryson Crockett     6'2      Guard         2020           West Linn HS Crockett who recently transferred to West Linn HS showcased a smooth lefty stroke throughout the day.  We were most impressed by his ability to get to the paint and make plays for teammates or himself, something we hadn't really seen before.  Crockett's play clearly reflected time spent in the gym improving his offensive skill set.
