PICTURED: [player_tooltip player_id='2116000' first='AJ' last='Petway']

We introduce our updated Class of 2025 rankings!! Rankings are subjective and PrepHoops.com ranks purely upon potential and where the player will be at their basketball peak. Production factors in only when helping prove the potential is greater or lesser. Why did we rank these guys? Why are they at this spot? Take a look at five Class of 2025 prospects and learn a little about their reputation. Peruse the complete 2025 rankings.

#116 [player_tooltip player_id='1498078' first='Jax' last='Howard'] (Webb-Bell Buckle)

When [player_tooltip player_id='1368094' first='Arnett' last='Hayes'] transfered away from Webb last summer, that opened up touches to other players. Already a starter and already established, Jax adeptly grew into the role. Howard is fun to watch as he uses his speed wisely, darting between retreating bigs and wings in transition. In the halfcourt, Howard probes less often. He typically runs the offense without making egregious mistakes a la turnovers. Howard can hit open shots and improved his three-point percentage from 39% to 40% in the last year.

One glaring weakness for Jax is scoring in the lane. Howard has made merely 46-118 shots on 2pters. That is just 39%! Two years, on far fewer attempts, Howard made 47% of his 2's. Sure he is more known and more focused upon now, but he must get better around the rim or simply decrease those attempts significantly.

2024 All-District. Quality ball-handler. Fast with the dribble.

#117 [player_tooltip player_id='2116000' first='AJ' last='Petway'] (LEAD Academy)

LEAD Academy is a team gets overlooked quite a bit outside their circle of supporters, but we keep an eye on their squad. They have had a ranked player on PrepHoops.com the last two classes and Petway continues that tradition here.

https://twitter.com/LeadBasketball/status/1750335187731284314?t=JEgbOHlEoJ1RdUn8pz8_Nw&s=19

Petway ran and looks likely to run with the [program_tooltip program_id='2078774' first='Tennessee' last='Panthers'] AAU program.

The BCAT District 8-AA Player of the Week [to open February was] A.J. Petway of Lead Academy who averaged 19 ppg and 6 rpg in 2 games last week!
@BCATHoops

#118 [player_tooltip player_id='2304337' first='Tahj' last='Roseburr'] (Stewarts Creek)

[player_tooltip player_id='2304337' first='Tahj' last='Roseburr'] debuts in our rankings, but his production is not new. Roseburr been giving them buckets. Left-handed Tahj slashes with tricky speed changes. More 2-guard than point.

#119 [player_tooltip player_id='2336421' first='Kor'Mar' last='Stewart'] (MHEA)

Debuts in PrepHoopsTN rankings.

[player_tooltip player_id='2336421' first='Kor'Mar' last='Stewart'], MHEA: Stewart is an interesting prospect in this class because of his ability to hold his own on the defensive end against bigger players. Stewart, who debuted at No. 119, isn't small by any means. He's 6-3 with a stout frame. Stewart moves very well, plays hard on every possession, crashes the boards, and can score around the basket.
Courtney Asher Smith

#120 [player_tooltip player_id='1344316' first='Cam'ron' last='Dowell'] (Kenwood)

Elite on-ball defender. Nicknamed Disko. Also plays wide receiver and defensive back.
