Standouts
Talk about a kid that had a major level up in his game. Kohler is not only build like a D1 linebacker, he runs like a wide receiver but is simply playing the big man for Skyridge. This is not his position as he is likely a 3 at the next level but he does so many things well. He sees the floor very well as he finds cutters and open playrs with ease even out of double teams. Kohler has turned into a D1 wing and he is very good at the high post. He does like to post up because he has so many natural moves he can go to but in a face-up he is just quicker than most people that tryt o defend him and that is why he is seeing so many double teams.
Lewis came out gunning from the jump and although he did not get the first few to fall he was able to settle down and make game winning plays all game. Although he did not score the most points in the game he was the best player on the floor as he was blocking shots and getting rebounds and hitting timely buckets. One aspect of his game that is so apparent is his playmaking skills. He was dropping some elite assist and creating for his guards and big. Lewis is a D1 kid, look for him to continue to garner interest but could end up in the Ivy League from what we are hearing.
Highlights
Hawkins was out there making things happen and most of the game they were running him off the three-point line and he made due as he was just attacking the rim at will and he was making some acrobatic shots. He has really fine tuned his attack game. One game he can go off from deep and the next he will attack you at will. He was a big time scorer for Lehi last night and he continues to improve his stock.
Grayson was solid and although he did not do anything that was mind blowing out there he is just as solid a hybrid big as they come. He hit a smooth outside jumper. He was using his fakes and footwork on multiple defenders to get space to score at the rim and he was getting to the line. He was cleaning up the glass as well.
New kid really made a name for himself as he came in off the bench and was working on the glass and he was finding ways to score the ball. He is a bright spot in the tough loss because he becomes another player that can come in with a little bit of size as a guard and give them a scoring punch and energy rebounding.
