He made his mark on the defensive end of the floor as he did a fantastic job protecting the rim with his shot-blocking ability. He maneuvered well around the paint, and players looking to score in the paint had to keep watch for Fred coming looking to swat their shot. His offensive game is still under development and should be an area of focus throughout the coming months.

Hayden was a tough cover for defenders as he constantly got to the paint off the bounce. He made good decisions with the rock in traffic as he often sprayed to open shooters. When he wasn't dishing the rock, he was getting to the cup and finishing amongst the trees. He did a good job not over-penetrating and took the mid-range pull-up J, which was often open off his dribble penetration. He put a lot of pressure on defenders throughout the day by constantly looking for gaps to penetrate.

Defensively, he is very active with his hands and was racking up steals throughout camp.

He can score from the perimeter, handle the rock, create for others, and facilitate the offense. As I said, he is not the flashiest player, and he has some inconsistencies, but he made plays throughout the games that showed his ability and potential, which made it hard to ignore him. He has work to do when it comes to specific physical attributes, such as his speed and agility, and as he begins to see improvement in these areas, he will see improvement in his overall game.

Oliver got to camp a little late as he was coming from a game he had earlier, and when he got in, it was an instant fit as he stepped right in, making an impact. He is an unselfish player who looks to get his teammates involved and looks to get the rock into their hands in places where they can be the most successful. He is a heady player who is skilled at orchestrating the offense. He doesn't dance much with the ball, but he understands where he is looking to go on the floor and how to get there. He doesn't overwhelm you when you see him play, but he is consistently making plays, making it hard for you to not keep your eyes on him. He is definitely a player that I will be keeping my eyes on over the next few years.
