NCHSAA Top Performers – Week 2

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This week saw a lot more teams get their seasons off to a start in the public school ranks, and many schools in the eastern portion of the state have gotten a game or two under their belt. We saw plenty of impressive performances, both individual and team over the course of the week, but there are only so many that could be chosen. He had a couple big games this week, scoring 27 points on Monday and 28 points on Saturday, leading his team to a 2-1 record on the week. He's got parking lot range and has a ton of confidence shooting the deep ball, but is able to attack a closeout and get to the paint a little bit as well. He's able to play with much more skill than everyone else on the floor at his level, shooting plenty of jumpers as well as getting to the rim with finesse and quickness. He's had a great start to the season so far, averaging 21 PPG and 10.5 RPG through their two games. He's a physical wing that rebounds the ball very well and is good at finishing in the paint. Still working on developing the three point shot but the signs are promising. He's averaging 22 PPG, really getting it done inside on the block, but occasionally stepping out and hitting the three like we've seen him do before. It's been an especially good start for him on the offensive glass as well, pulling down 14 offensive boards so far. He's a downhill athlete that is great laying the ball up around the basket and even extending out a bit to attack the mid-range. Strong at attacking to get to the free throw line even if he doesn't finish as well. He's long and thin as well, making him able to affect passing lanes and heat up the ball for steals. He'll be a name to monitor out east as his group gets ready to take on a daunting conference schedule later in the year.","_player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":5,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-656d3d92cb1bd"} /-->
