Michael Schafer Michael Schafer 6'2" | SG Calvary Christian | 2024 State NJ , 6’2 SG Calvary Christian
Schafer has the potential to breakout this season as he should get more touches on the offensive end. The 6’2 guard has a nice handle, which he uses to get into the lane and can finish around the basket. Schafer does not mind drawing contact and sets his feet before he shoots. He moves well without the ball in his hands and slides his feet on defense. Schafer’s ability to score inside and out is something that will help his stock in a big way throughout the 2023-24 season.
Nas Simmons, 6’4 CG Camden
Simmons joins a talented Camden squad that has its sights set on a Group 2 title. The Bishop Loughlin transfer attacks the basket strong as he can finish in a variety of ways around the rim and can also score in the mid-range. Simmons uses his size to see over his defender and can find open teammates in the halfcourt. He has the length to defend both backcourt spots and is an underrated rebounder. Simmons is a skilled guard prospect who should make plays at both ends of the floor this season.
Taj Bryant, 6’2 CG Patrick School
The Celtics have already started their season and Bryant’s role should expand as the season goes on. The 6’2 guard uses his quick first step to beat his defender off the bounce and finish around the basket. Bryant is more than just a slasher as he has a good release on his jumper and can make opponents pay for giving him space behind the arc. He has the ability to run the offense at times and can get deflections on defense.
Vaughn Foster Vaughn Foster 6'6" | PF Lawrenceville | 2024 State NJ , 6’6 PF Lawrenceville
Foster is spending a postgrad season at Lawrenceville and has the potential to have a big 2023-24 season. The 6’6 forward has a good face-up game, which he uses to get to the rim off the bounce and can finish through contact. Foster has a high release on his jumper and sets his feet before he shoots. He fights for rebounds on both ends of the floor and holds his ground on the defensive end. Foster is a tough forward prospect whose ability to make plays at both ends of the floor is something that will help his game in a big way throughout the season.
Patrick Ryan Patrick Ryan 6'4" | SF Haddonfield | 2024 State NJ , 6’4 F Haddonfield
Ryan had a solid junior season and should have an even bigger senior campaign for Haddonfield. The 6’4 forward uses his body to get position down low and can finish through contact. Ryan can also score in the mid-range and moves well without the ball in his hands. He works for rebounds on both ends of the floor and makes plays on the defensive end. Ryan is a hard-working forward prospect who should rack up double-doubles this season.
