On Saturday, host Borgia took home the championship with a 62-39 victory over Union. Principia defeated Jackson in the third-place game.
Jaylen Edwards Jaylen Edwards 6'0" | PG Principia | 2026 State MO (Principia): A 6’0″ 2026 point guard scored a game-high 12 points against Borgia on Friday night. He has good quickness and he looks to have gotten a little bigger and stronger over the past year. I could tell on a play when he discarded a defender on his way to knocking down a mid-range jumper. He’s a three-level offensive threat who can advance the ball in transition to excellent speed.
Ronald Henry (Principia): A 6’7″ 2026 forward who had an impressive showing. He is a long and athletic and he plays with good activity and toughness. He defends well on the perimeter and he also rebounds well out of his area. He passes the ball well from the high post as he can operate in the high-low very well. He can also hit the short jumper off the catch. He is an improving player with a very substantial upside.
Kole Deck Kole Deck 6'6" | SG Jackson | 2025 State MO (Jackson): A 6’6″ 2025 wing player who has an impressive skill set to go with his height and length. He has good athleticism and he’s very smooth off the bounce, whether he’s getting to the basket or pulling up for the mid range jumper. He attacks well off the dribble going in either direction and he elevates well on his jump shot. He will emerge as a prime player as the season goes on as he is now playing full-time minutes this season.
Ben Akoro Ben Akoro 6'7" | SF Principia | 2026 State MO (Principia): A 6’6″ 2026 small forward who has a lot of ability and a big upside for the future. He has length and athleticism and a nice perimeter skill set. He can create his own shot off the dribble and he’s capable of going coast to coast after grabbing a defensive rebound. He also has a nice mid range jumper and he can slash to the basket very effectively. He can also sit down and defend with his length and height.
Harry Mitchell Harry Mitchell 6'5" | PF St. Francis Borgia | 2025 MO (Borgia): A 6’4″ 2025 forward who was an unsung player for the Knights as he earned a spot on the All-Tournament Team. He was very effective at finishing around the basket as he scored 11 big points in the victory over Principia in the semifinals. He was catching the ball well inside and keeping it high and scoring. It was very simple and fundamental-like, which was perfect. He had a nice move along the baseline and he was running the court to get a transition bucket.
Gassim Toure Gassim Toure 6'3" | SG Principia | 2027 State MO (Principia): A 6’3″ 2027 guard who has ideal size for a shooting guard and the talent to go along with it. He can get by defenders and he pulls up with a smooth jumper at the elbow. He is also a very capable finisher in the lane off a tough drive to the basket. Like his fellow Panther teammates, he’s a talented youngster with a substantial upside.
Hayden Parmenter (Union): A 5’11” point guard who was a big sparkplug off the bench for the Wildcats in their victory over Jackson on Friday night. He provided some instant offense as he knocked down some big 3-pointers in the fourth quarter. He gave the Wildcats another very capable ball handler who could distribute the ball, but he was also very effective playing off the ball. He scored 11 points off the bench in the semifinal victory.
