Wright played some great basketball with Bates Fundamentals. He was often dominate when playing in the EYBL. Wright absolutely controlled the paint on both ends of the floor. He used his body to block out, grabbed defensive boards and consistently limited opponents to 1 shot possessions.

has absolutely blown up so far this grassroots season. He really looks ready to dominate near the rim next high school season. Wright has been a double-double machine with points and rebounds. And he’s been able to do that in EYBL sessions, which in itself is eye-opening.

Wright went to work this weekend for Bates Fundamentals. Word is that he dominated games near and around the rim and that he was one of the most dominant rebounders in the gym. The numbers seem to back that up. He averaged a 17 points per game and 13 rebounds per game double-double.

I really liked the way his game looked on Saturday. There has been clear and obvious development in his game. I think he looked stronger, tougher and more prepared than last season. If this continues, we have something special on our hands here in Michigan. I liked how active Wright was on the glass, on both ends of the floor. Surrounded by length and athletes, he was still one of the best in the game on the glass. Wright’s rebounding on the offensive end led to 2 put back buckets.

Wright combines a lot of different tools that make him a very unique prospect. He’s an athletic wing with elite length that can get out in the open floor like a guard. With his height and length, Wright rebounds like a top notch post player. He’s even a very solid rim protector.
