Clayton is another SWFL product who has proven to be one of the elite players in the entire state. The do-it-all guy for Barron Collier put up some tremendous numbers this season where he averaged 20.6 ppg, 6.5 asp, 5.6 rpg, and 1.9 spg, in route to amassing over 1200 points in his career. He plays the game under control and with a cool and calm demeanor. He flirts with triple-double numbers each time he steps on the court, and finished his career with a 35 point, 8 rebound performance in a losing effort to a talented Stranahan squad.

Clayton continues to impress in each and every game so far in this his senior season. The 6’3″ PG is a true team leader and plays the game with tremendous poise and control. He never gets flustered and can score in bunches when called upon. He recorded 13 points, 7 assists, and 6 rebounds in a quarter-final victory over Seminole, but had a stellar performance in a double OT victory over Taravella. In that contest Clayton had the tying shots in both the 4th quarter and 1st overtime, and finished the game with 29 points and 8 assists.

The Cougars leader has had a tremendous start to the season, and he didn’t disappoint in a big time victory over a tough Winter Haven team. Clayton finished with 28 points (including 8 three’s), 7 assists, and 5 rebounds, and was just a true leader on the floor at all times for Barron Collier. Whether he was face-guarded or double-teamed, Clayton, just found a way to put the ball in the basket. He is a very smart player who has proven to be not only an elite guard in SWFL, but amongst the top PG’s in the entire state.

Stats: 23.8 PPG, 6.3 APG, 6.0 RPG

Clayton has been the engine for Barron Collier’s 9-1 start, playing at an elite level on both ends of the floor. The 6-3 combo guard is a Swiss Army knife offensively—scoring in transition, hitting deep threes, and creating for his teammates. His court vision and pace set him apart as a leader, while his ability to rise to the occasion in close games makes him the heart and soul of his team. Clayton has proven himself as one of 4A’s most consistent producers and a name to watch in his senior season.

Clayton has led Barron Collier to a 6-1 record out of the gate, and has been producing night in and night out. He has reached double figures in scoring each game and is averaging 22.8 ppg, 5.5 rpg, 7.2 apg, and 2.5 spg on the season. He’s recoded multiple 20-point games and had his best game of this young season in a win over Naples with 31 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists. Clayton can score inside and out, and does just about everything for the Cougars as he looks to lead them throughout the year in this his senior campaign.

The heart and soul of his Cougars squad, Clayton looks to continue his success and lead his team to a successful campaign in 2024-25. The 6’3″ PG has a tremendous basketball IQ and just plays the game right. He has great handles, to go along amazing court vision which make him a true floor general. Clayton plays the game with poise and under control. He can beat you off the dribble and attack the basket, or hurt from outside with his smooth stroke. He may be the top 3-point shooter in the area, and if you leave him open he has the confidence to shoot from anywhere.

Clayton has had himself a tremendous summer, and even picked up his first offer from Southeastern University. The 6’3″ PG has an outstanding knowledge of the game and plays with poise and under control. He has great handles, and is one of the top 3-point shooters in the state. He has the ability to fill the stat shit night in and night out, which was shown during the FABC live period where he averaged 22.5 ppg, 7 apg, and 5 rpg, including a 29/10/10 triple-double. Clayton just plays the game right and you can tell just enjoys being on the court. I see those offers continuing to roll in for Barron’s star as he looks to have a monster senior year.

Clayton is a tremendous 2-way player who can score in bunches.  He has good size and length from the point guard position, and loves to play the game with the ball in his hands.  He has great handles and always plays the game under control and with a purpose.  Clayton is an exceptional shooter who can knock down the 3-ball consistently, but can also find the bottom of the net with a quick pull-up jumper.  He is a smart player who can control the game and makes everyone around him better.  Clayton is a good-sized guard with an all-around skill set that will have coaches and scouts taking note of him throughout the summer.

Barron Collier’s junior playmaker continued his regular season success and carried it right over into District play.  The 6’2″ PG is a true floor general who likes to have the ball in his hands.  He can score from just about anywhere on the court and has tremendous court vision where he looks to get his teammates involved.  In a victory over Lely in the semi-finals he finished 19 points, 3 rebounds, and 5 assists, and then in a clutch performance against Golden Gate he notched 20 points, 7 rebounds, and 6 assists in a double-overtime win in the championship.

Clayton has a tremendous knowledge of the game and is one of the best all-around guards in the area.  He brings solid size and strength from the guard position, to go along with great handles and a smooth shot from outside, making him extremely difficult to defend.  He has a quick first step and can beat you off the dribble, or pull-up and knock down the mid-range jumper in your face, but where he is deadly is from behind the arc, where he shoots the 3-ball at an extremely high rate.  He’s averaging 17.7 ppg, 6.4 apg, and 4.4 rpg, as you can see he does it all for his Cougars squad, and looks to help lead his team in the playoffs and continue the programs postseason success here in 2024.
