Many of Southern California's top prospects signed to their respective college program in the early signing period. Even though those players are off the board, there is still plenty of quality players available in the region. We take a look at the top available guards below.

[player_tooltip player_id='1502822' first='Jacob' last='Bayla'] | 6-1 | SG | Valley Christian (Cerritos)

Bayla is a crafty scoring guard who can knock down three's and mid-range jumpers off the dribble. His change of speed and direction with the ball in his hands, combined with his jump shoot ability, makes him a tough cover at the high school level.

[player_tooltip player_id='1502883' first='Jonathan' last='Moxie'] | 6-1 | PG | Santa Margarita

The best way to describe Moxie - and really the first word that comes to my mind when thinking of his game - is solid. The senior is an initiator of the offense, knows when and where to get his teammates the ball and is a hard-nosed and competitive defender.

[player_tooltip player_id='1817896' first='Xavier' last='Clinton'] | 6-3 | SG | Damien

Clinton is one of the best available shooters in SoCal. He has great size for the two guard position, knocks down catch adn shoot threes from a variety of spots and distances on the floor and does it all within the framework of an offense which translates well to the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='1502812' first='Tony' last='Duckett'] | 6-2 | CG | Carlsbad

Duckett is the epitome of a slasher and defender. His length, speed and athleticism make him an effective on-ball and help defender who disrupts passing lanes. Those same physical traits allow him to fill lanes in transition and extend to the rim for high percentage finishes.

[player_tooltip player_id='1502815' first='Aliaun' last='Iscandari'] | 6-0 | CG | Campbell Hall

Iscandari had a couple of explosive fall league games that made us believers in his next-level talent. The left-handed combo guard is an aggressive scorer with athleticism, strength and a bit of craftiness off the bounce. Iscandari can knock down catch and shoot threes with consistency but can also get to the paint and finish through or around contact.

[player_tooltip player_id='1817908' first='Carrington' last='Pierce'] | 6-0 | PG | Etiwanda

Pierce is as steady as they come as a ball-handler, initiator of offense and decision-maker in open court and half-court settings. As is true with most Etiwanda guards, Piece is also a heady defensive player both on the ball and in a team defensive concept. He's a guy who is willing to put his body on the line and make extra effort plays to help his team win.
