The CBG Fall Finale took place last weekend, featuring two high level games with some of the top public schools in the 757 and 804. There was tons of talent on the floor, high level bump and a great atmosphere throughout the event. Here's a look at part one of the many standouts from the event.

[player_tooltip player_id='1489067' first='Jordan' last='Watlington'] | 6'4” WF | Menchville 2024

Watlington was fantastic for Menchville in their win over LC Bird, as he did a little bit of everything before taking over the game in the second half and going for a game high 25 points. He played all over the floor for them, sometimes initiating the offense, sometimes working off the wing and he guarded almost every position too. He made a lot of winning plays whether it was rebounding, making plays for others or showing his ability to take over the game when his team needed him to the most.

[player_tooltip player_id='1939233' first='Bryce' last='Watlington'] | 6'6” WF | Menchville 2024

The other Watlington was no slouch either, as the 6'6” wing showed why he's considered a big time scorer as he scored it from all three levels on the way to 19 points in their win. He has great positional size to get clean looks off the bounce, and he was very active on the glass on both ends of the floor. He finished well around the rim and got to the line often, and he was very efficient and unselfish throughout the game too.

Jai'Quan Gray | 5'10” PG | Menchville 2026

Gray is a player to keep an eye on moving forward in the 757, as he made plays on both ends of the floor and provided a big spark for them with his scoring and playmaking. He's a strong guard who got downhill and finished well at the rim, and when the defense collapsed he made a number of plays for others on kick outs and dump offs. He finished with 12 points showing the ability to score it efficiently from multiple levels and he was very good on the defensive end too.

Tyrese Williams | 6'2” CG | LC Bird 2025

Williams is looking like a breakout player in Richmond this year, as he led a talented Bird junior class in this one and helped bring them back after Menchville led by as many as 25 in the third. The 6'2” combo guard is an absolute dog as he gets after it on both ends of the floor and is very physical allowing him to guard and score against bigger players. He showed he can post smaller guards, take defenders off the bounce and make shots from deep finishing with 15 points on the day.

[player_tooltip player_id='2451940' first='John' last='Uzochukwu'] | 6'1” CG | LC Bird 2025

Uzochukwu is another guard I expect to breakout with this Skyhawks program, as he has a knack for scoring the ball and making plays defensively too. He's another strong guard who gets downhill and finishes well at the basket, and he's improving his outside shot to where he can be a deadly threat from deep. He plays at a different cadence than most making him tough to guard, and he's a very good point of attack defender too.

Jamison Waters | 5'9” PG | LC Bird 2025

Waters had a breakout game for the Skyhawks and showed he could be an important factor for them this year, as he plays very hard and made plays when his team needed him to the most. He got after it defensively showing good hands and jumping passing lanes in their press, and he touched the paint regularly offensively to make plays. He shot the ball efficiently and finished well around the rim, finishing with a team high 17 points for them.
