Team Preview: Linton-HMB

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Welcome to a new era of Lions Basketball! Linton-HMB has a new head coach and this will be the first year of three classes in ND high school basketball.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p> After last season, coaching legend <em>Dan Carr</em> retired and the new head man for Linton-HMB is <em>Alex Jangula</em>. Coach <em>Jangula</em> played for <em>Carr</em> from 2003-2006 and coached under him from 2011-2014 &amp; 2021-2023. The legendary coach <em>Carr </em>will certainly have a lasting impression on the "new look" Lions. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Linton-HMB lost a good amount of talent and size to graduation but they bring back some serious ballers and athletes. The Lions will be the real deal! He can score from all three levels. He really improved attacking downhill this summer. [player_tooltip player_id='1144603' first='Gentry' last='Richter'] is another really skilled player. He can pull big guys out to the perimeter or take advantage of his size down low. [player_tooltip player_id='2264862' first='Justin' last='Tschosik'] is a great floor general who is extremely quick. We emphasized playing fast but not in a hurry. There are multiple players who can handle the ball so we want to get out and run. Expectations are always high in our program. There are multiple teams who can win the Region this year. I do not think there is a clear cut favorite. EKM returns a lot of talent and are always well-coached. Sargent County has a lot of impressive athletes that can cause problems for teams. Ellendale lost a few seniors from last year but they are well coached and I expect them to be in the hunt. South Border returns a lot of their top players and will continue to build on last season.
